It’s been a busy past 6 months! I haven’t really had time to sleep let alone update this blog, so my apologies!
Once The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete wrapped I immediately went into a 7 week commercial for Exxon Mobil (yes 7 weeks, it was insane). We traveled across the country via private jet and filmed in 7 different cities totaling over 76 HOURS of footage.
It was a TON of work as I had to keep up with 2 Alexas shooting constantly as well as a C300 (which was eventually dropped and a 3rd Alexa was added instead). There were days where we shot over 800GB of footage, which is an insane amount of footage.
That job allowed me to upgrade a few things and so I purchased PVWM-2541 as my main coloring monitor, and I have to say once you start working with OLED you never want to go back to LCD.
New picture of my setup from the last feature I did The Skeleton Twins.
I have a few more jobs in the works and I have a new project that I’m working on with Color Grading Central in which I’ll be giving tutorials on how to bring your LUTs and CDLs from LiveGrade into Resolve and how to work with post on getting your color choices into their system as efficient as possible.
That’s it for now but I have a few big projects on the horizon. Will update when I get the chance.
